1 Mile Time Trial – Arena 80 Athletics Club

We had a fantastic turnout last night at the Arena 1 Mile Time Trial: over 40 athletes in three different heats.

In Heat 1, Jim Risdale put in the early effort leading the first three laps before Ricky Coleman eased past with 300m to a time of 5:14.3
In Heat 2, Mark Sallis led the opening lap before Kev Meegan turned up the pace and took the line in 5:35.0
In Heat 3, Jo Coleman ran a storming first couple of laps before Phil Gregory took over to run a time of 6:14.6

As this was a Time Trial, finishing positions mattered less than individual performances, and there were fantastic efforts in all three heats. Well done everyone who took part and I hope you’ve set a good marker for the summer ahead.
