We have the results of the Second Sussex Masters Track and Field event held in Eastbourne on 14th June.
In the 100m race, Aska Asakura finished in 18.30 seconds securing 7th place. Aska also took on the 400m taking 6th place (83.6 seconds).
Yvonne Patrick clinched a well deserved 1st place in the 100m 60+ category (17.8 seconds).
Meanwhile, in the 1500m race for the 60+ category, Caroline Wood dominated and secured 1st place in an impressive 05:57:8, crossing the finish line more than a minute ahead of the competition.
In the 100m, Graham Shorter finished in 15.7 seconds taking 7th place. Graham also took on the 400m 50+ race and achieved 6th place (80 sec)
Toby Keynes participated in the 400m 60 + race and secured 4th place (77.8 seconds)
Kevin Lowe competed in the 400m race & came 5th in a time of 70.6.
Norman Scott also took on the 400m and came 5th in his heat (77.5).
Tristan Sharp accomplished a personal best in the 1500m and took 5th place in an impressive time of 04:59:3. Meanwhile Sam Bennett also came 5th in his heat in a time of 05:30.8
Dan Vaughan finished in 4th place in the 1500 50+ race in a time of 05:29.3
The Men’s 4 x 100 Relay (comprising Dan, Scott, Toby & Graham) took 4th place (68.5 seconds).
Graham also had a go at the High Jump Field event and claimed 5th place (1.10 metres).
