Joe Ashleys gold rush at Lee Valley

Whilst many of our Arena athletes were tied up with the Brighton Half Marathon, Joe Ashley took part in the South of England Masters Indoor Championships at the Lee Valley Centre in London.
Joe had a cracking day walking away with two golds and one silver including a new PB.
M35 800m – Gold
M35 1500m – Gold
M35 3000m (and a PB) – Silver
Joe said “the times weren’t all that (with 3 races to run, I was aiming for ‘Minimal Viable Medal’ times), but finally went up a gear with 400m to go in the 3000m and surprised myself with a PB, despite only having 15mins recovery after the 1500m”.
Next up for Joe is the British Masters Indoor Championships and we wish him as much good fortune for that one.
