New club record improvements at two Hove parkruns
There were two cheeky club record improvements set on New Years day down at the Hove Prom and Brighton and Hove parkruns. How on earth anyone managed to get a club record and a PB with sooooo many runners taking to the both runs I’ll never know however two of our intrepid members took it on.
Congratulations to John Orden who took a PB time of 20.08 bringing it down from 20.12 but in doing so bagged the 5th place on the men’s age grading club records for the Hove Prom. John took the age grading of 80.38% which was enough to move Kevin Lowe out of the top 5.
The new club records are:
Age grading Hove Prom
1 Paul Gasson – 83.22%
2 Dan Vaughan – 82.38%
3 Richard Clayton – 81.48%
4 Marc Steene – 80.93%
5 John Orden – 80.38%
Over at Hove Park the club record improvement came from the very consistent Nicky Yeates who yet again nabbed a PB with a time of 21.44 smashing her previous best here of 22.17. With that PB came an age grading improvement and, like John, Nicky takes the 5th spot with her new age grading of 89.26% and removes the very long standing Louise Vallier who seems to have been amongst the records forever it seems.
Congratulation’s to both John and Nicky on some very fine running and a perfect way to start the year off.
The new club records are:
Age grading Hove Park
1 Caroline Hoyte – 90.63%
2 Chris Naylor – 90.36%
3 Tara Shanahan – 90.26%
4 Caroline Wood – 89.71%
5 Nicky Yeates – 89.26%
