Gedin the hang of breaking club records

The Chinese have a new year represented by an animal each year, if adopt the same idea to Arena 80 then 2018 was the year of the Clayton and 2019 is turning in to the year of the Gedin.
Not content on taking the club 10k men’s club record at Chichester and the Preston Park parkrun men’s record last week, Timmy Gedin was so so close to his one wish at the moment which is to go sub 16 in a 5k/parkrun. So another week and another men’s club record goes tumbling as Timmy Gedin now adds the men’s Worthing parkrun club record to his running portfolio. Timmy annihilated the club record which was held jointly by Alex Jago and James Dicks with 16.29 however Timmy has now taken it down to 16.00 dead. Isn’t it amazing what 1 second can mean and do when it comes down to it at a time like this. Never the less, it’s a fine result and a quality run and, as we have mentioned not so long ago in a previous post, who knows how far the club records will go this year? Huge congratulations to Timmy Gedin on a quite remarkable few weeks of running, I’m sure your dad will be proud of you.
The men’s club records now read:
