Caroline Hoyte to represent England at the England Masters 10k
We must say a huge congratulation to Caroline Hoyte who has been selected to represent England at the England Masters 10k. This is a fantastic achievement for Caroline who has consistently performed at such a high standard over many years. For those that know Caroline then they will know it’s all or nothing with Caroline and wonderful to see her with the England vest on again.
Following the three qualifying races which kicked off in December 2018 with the Telford 10k, England Athletics are pleased to announce the team selected to represent England Masters at the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10k on Sunday 26 May.
Competition at each of the three qualifying races – Telford, Chichester and Chester 10k – was of a high standard with the best of club age group runners turning out in force to contest for places on the team. In addition to these qualifiers, a small number of runners who were denied the opportunity to qualify due to the cancellation of events last winter due to the snow were also added to the team following the rescheduling of these races. A team of 168 runners from V35 through to V75 age groups will compete as an England Team at the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10k, where they will compete against a team of Celtic Nations runners. Congratulations to all our qualifiers.
Members of the team are from a wide range of clubs from across the length and breadth of the country, with over 100 different affiliated clubs represented on the team (extract taken from the England athletics website).
