Arena Ladies In Brilliant Form at the Sussex Road Relays 2019

Thanks to all who came out and raced at the Sussex Road Relays especially if it was your first outing in an Arena vest. We had 27 women racing in 9 teams and as always we had a lovely time chatting and cake eating as well as the running. We won medals galore! Well done Julie Briggs, Dani Tarleton & Soulla Wright on V40 gold (and second or third finish overall!!!) and to Caroline Wood, Jackie Rymell & Fiona Bugler who were battling the V50 Chichester team the whole way round and caught them on the 3rd leg to get the gold. Well done also to Helena Rooney, Katie Wright & Maisie Lilly on Senior bronze. Individually great performances from Chris Naylor for second fastest in the V60’s, Dani who got 3rd fastest leg in the V40 field and to Caroline for 3rd fastest in the V50’s. Woman of the match was Julie Briggs who got fastest V50 lap in a stupendous time of 11.21. Awaiting the final results but this was one of the fastest female laps of the day. Astonishing!!
