Bill Mulholland Trophy 2019 – Won by Soulla Wright

Great last night at track for 2019, despite weather we had 40+ determined athletes.
Even better was the after track social in club house with just under 40 members who were supplied with food and drink by head caterer Steve Mcnealy .
The lucky 2 who came out of the hat for the club London Marathon places were Ed Landauer and Neil Fulkes.
The winner of the Bill Mulholland trophy from a list of 9 athletes who each had outstanding road runs in 2019 went to Soulla Wright as chosen by our captains Dani Tarleton and Dan Vaughan, this was for her marathon run for England. As our captains said any one of the 9 could have been chosen but Soulla just got the nod. Well done Soulla your now one of the few who have been chosen by their peers for excellence. The trophy started in 2000.
This year in order to recognise those who turn up on a regular basis and promote our club at the WSFRL a new trophy was announced. To be in with a chance you had to take part in at least 8 of the 17 races. I’m very pleased to announce that this years winner was Julia Mason.
Track starts again on Jan 6th but obviously you’ll all be out training hard over festive period to gain that edge, starting this Saturday at the Hove Park parkrun. Last in the parkrun series and also our Super Series.
