South Downs Way Relay Practice Runs Get Underway

This year’s first South Downs Way Relay (SDWR) practice run took place on Sunday, 23rd February when 9 Arenas took in the delights of Leg 4.
To get to the starting point in Southease meant the majority of the group jumped on the train at Brighton with others joining the same train at Falmer and Lewes along the way.
In total, leg 4 is a little over 7 miles long with a mostly uphill profile, running from the YHA at Southease to Housedean Farm. The group ran at a social pace with plenty of regroup points along the way to make sure that everyone got the knowledge in the bank.
After finishing the leg, the majority of the group headed back home whilst Dan Brown embarked on an epic adventure further into the South Downs to take in even more SDWR legs.
Everyone is welcome to join in with the SDWR practice runs and they are a great way to meet your club mates. If you like the sound of this but you’re not a member yet, we’d love for you to join us.! Click the Join button at the top of this page to start your application.
