Busy Weekend for Arena Runners Across XC and Road
Arena runners have had a busy few days, with another afternoon of cross-country racing, an athlete qualifying for the England Masters squad, and the first recce run for the South Downs Way Relay.
ESSCCL Continues at Whitbread Hollow
The penultimate fixture of the East Sussex Sunday Cross Country League took place at Whitbread Hollow on Sunday 8th February, with four Arena runners taking on the challenging course. The results were as follows:

England Masters Call-Up for Lynn Chislett
Also on Sunday, Arena runner Lynn Chislett finished 3rd in the V60 category at the Farnborough Half Marathon, running a time of 1:39:04. This performance was good enough to earn Lynn qualification for the England Masters team, and we look forward to seeing how she gets on when competing for England.

South Downs Way Relay Recce Runs Begin
A group of Arena runners headed out onto the trails on Sunday to kick off the recce runs for this year’s South Downs Way Relay (SDWR). Leg 7 is an undulating route stretching from Saddlescombe Farm to Botolphs, and it was a great way to start preparations. We look forward to seeing plenty more recces over the coming weeks.
