GB ultra runner to guest at the Arena 80 track 3k race

We can now confirm our special guest runner for our Arena track 3k race on Monday 25th June. We are very honoured to have Dan Lawson taking to the track with us.
For those of you that may not know Dan Lawson, he is a GB 24 hour endurance team member. Dan is one of the team silver medallists at the IAU 24 hour European Championships that took place in Romania in May 2018. Dan was the 1st GB man over the line and was 5th overall having covered 253.43km in the 24 hours allotted with temperatures reaching 29 degrees at one point. Dan won this event in 2016 to become the European Champion having covered 261.843km that time round.
In 2012 Dan ran the Brighton Marathon 8 times back to back and his training runs consist of running from Newhaven to Worthing four times in a row so that gives you some idea of his endurance pedigree.
The RERUN clothing campaign being put together by Dan Lawson
Dan wanted to come along to say thank you to everyone who has donated their old running kit so far. Dan was totally blown away by the response and wanted to say a personal thank you.
If any of our members still have any running kit they no longer use/need then please bring it along to the track on Monday 25th June so we can pass this on to Dan on the night. Any old trainers will also be gratefully received.
Take a look in your drawers and cupboards and it doesn’t matter how little there is because as they say “every little helps” and you can pop in to the bag we will have there on the night.
If you want to know more about Re-Run then check them out on Facebook, Instagram and twitter.
